Robert Pattinson on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter - June 2014

THR Cover Star

Robert Pattinson graces the cover of the June 6 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. "I've been insanely lucky, and I don't know how I'd deal with really struggling for a long time. But I definitely do not, in any way, feel fulfilled," he says.

Robert Pattinson on His Home

Pattinson recently sold his Los Feliz mansion, which he had purchased three years ago for $6.27 million. "It was too big a house," he explains. "I could basically live in a cell as long as it had a window."

Pattinson on Auditioning for 'The Rover'

Pattinson's next film, The Rover, opens in theaters on June 20, and he admits to having been quite nervous about his audition for it because he liked the project so much. "It was terrifying," he says. "It's kind of rare that I really, really want stuff."

David Cronenberg on Pattinson's Career

David Cronenberg directed Pattinson in this fall's Maps to the Stars, and he respects Pattinson's thought process in choosing roles. "He could grab that brass ring and keep doing big-budget studio movies," Cronenberg says. "But it's not his desire to be a big Hollywood star."

Pattinson on His 'Twilight' Character, Edward

"It was quite a constricting character in a way," Pattinson says of Twilight's Edward Cullen. "You want to make [him] as dramatic as possible, but you have someone who never loses his temper, and so it's like, 'How the f--- do you do this?' I think that was one of the hardest jobs I've ever done."

Improving as an Actor

"I don't know if I've really particularly found my feet as an actor yet -- I have to prove certain things," Pattinson says.
